Please be aware that the results presented in Fastkey
reports adhere to the three standard responses specified in the Dissemination of Criminal Record Information policy.
Fastkey's Enhanced Canadian Criminal Record Check goes beyond our Basic check
by accessing additional information sources to provide a more comprehensive
view of your candidate's criminal history. This thorough investigation extends
beyond the Basic check's scope, encompassing searches in the CPIC investigative
data bank, the Public Safety Portal (formerly known as the Police Information
Portal), and, in certain instances, local police indices and/or court
registries. The search covers a range of items, including but not limited to:
- Summary conviction offences
- Pending charges of any kind
- Conditional and absolute discharges
- Wanted and accused person information
- Pending probation details
- Pending court orders and undertakings
- Pending release conditions
- Pending diversions, such as restorative justice
- Persons of special interest to the police
- Deportation orders
- Illegal entry charges from the Canada Border
Services Agency (CBSA)
- Charges that have been stayed or proceedings
The Enhanced check results are presented in the Criminal
Record Check section of the report under Enhanced Canadian Criminal Record
Check, with two possible outcomes:
Clear: Indicates that our check did not yield any
results.
Not Clear: Signifies that our check returned results,
which may include any items outlined in the summary of the Enhanced check. The
determination is based on searches using your candidate's name and date of
birth, and in some cases, additional identifiers like place of birth and
address history.
Please note that the candidate's provided dates must be
accurate within a two-year window to be considered a match.
