How do I add Fastkey as an Authorized Representative?
Note: In order to add Fastkey as an Authorized Representative, you must be registered for your CRA My Account. If you are not registered, you may do so by signing up here.
CRA has made recent changes that allow you to register online by verifying your identity. You do not need to wait for a code in the mail.
Step 1: Log in to the Canada Revenue Agency's CRA My Account https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/e-services/digital-services-individuals/account-individuals.html
Step 2: Sign into your CRA My Account using your CRA login/password, or using a sign-in partner such as your financial institution.
Step 3: Once logged in, in the top left hand corner of the page under Navigation, select "Profile".
Step 4: Once you are on the Profile page, scroll down until you see "Authorized Representative(s)" on the right hand side and click the +Add button.
Step 5: On the next page, click the "Start" button under Authorize a Representative.
Step 6: When prompted to enter representative information, please type in Fastkey Technology's Business Number (BN) 797957750 into the RepID, GroupID, or BN field. Once completed, click the Search button.
Step 7: You should see the information for Fastkey Technology Ltd. displayed. If you do, then click the Next button.
Step 8: On the next page, Select Level 1 under Authorization Level and select Yes under Online Access. Please leave the expiry date blank. When Fastkey has completed your file, we aim to remove our authorization within 45 business days. Once you have completed this step, click Next.
Step 9: On the next page, near the bottom of the page there will be a checkbox asking you to confirm your selection. Check the checkbox under the Confirmation heading and click submit.
Step 10: A new screen will appear confirming the Authorization process has been completed. Once completed, please check the checkbox below to confirm and notify us that you have successfully authorized Fastkey Technology Ltd. as an Authorized Representative.
Step 11: Once you have completed these steps, please be sure to complete the next steps within your Fastkey dashboard. You will have to check off a box confirming you have completed the above steps, as well as securely provide your SIN and push Confirm. Once you have completed this step, our system will update and notify us that you have added Fastkey as an Authorized Representative, and we can proceed with preparing your documents.
